This Spanish-Revival home delights with architectural charm at every corner. While we preserved and improved upon the historic features and design details, we made significant updates in order to make it functional for the family and their young children. Consistent with Spanish-Revival architecture, the house has beautiful arched doorways and a stunning fireplace with elegant curves. We wanted to echo the geometries and soft forms in the kitchen remodel, while also drawing inspiration from traditional English design. The kitchen island provides a place for the family to gather and host friends, while adding additional storage. In the dining room, we added custom built-ins with banquette seating. We went with a moody color palette, which adds to the intimacy of the space.
